I'd like to talk about my ascent to Sabalan, Iran's third highest peak. I went there about 20 years ago. Besides the beauty and grandeur of Mount Sabalan itself, the route from Meshginshahr to reach the mountain shelter was incredibly scenic. On the way, we saw several picturesque villages and many flocks of sheep. I love the sound of sheep bells echoing through the mountains.
