In my childhood, I learned fishing as a skill. When I was around 14 years old, one day my father came up to me and he said, Raki, do you want to go to fishing? And I said, yeah, I would love to. And that was the moment when I learned fishing. He took me to a nearby pond that we had and we had some equipments. He taught me a lot of things about fishing at that moment, which bait to use where you should go, how to actually pull the fish out of the pond. And a certain degree of emotion was connected because I was doing an activity with my father. And when you’re with your family member doing activity, it helps you to connect with them. We all have stress in our life. No one is free from stress. The monotony of life has impacted us widely. And doing these kind of fishing activities actually helps me to release stress. At that time, I was very much stressed with my academic results. And when my dad came up to me and asked me about learning to fish, it was a very stress-relieving moment for me. I think there are lots of memories that are connected with fishing. And it’s important in a sense that whenever you’re doing this with your family or friends, you can have a good past time. Like in the weekends, you can go fishing with your friends or family and you can also do camping there. The fishes that you caught, you can actually burn them over a charcoal fire and then barbecue them. It’s a very much pleasant activity that would help you to become. I’m a person who has some anxiety issues and these kind of activities helps me release stress. And the level of cortisol, this is a hormone which is produced when you are stressed, is decreased when I do these kind of activities. And mostly I think in my country due to urbanization, fishing has gone down. I think we should pay more emphasis on this in the coming years.
