I would like to talk about a skill that I've learned from my grandfather, which is gardening. I picked up this skill a couple of years ago during one of my summer vacations when I spent a lot of time at his house in the countryside. My grandfather is a seasoned gardener who takes immense pride in his lush garden filled with colorful flowers, vegetables, and even fruit trees. Seeing my curiosity, he patiently taught me the basics of gardening, such as how to prepare the soil, plant seeds, and care for the plants. On top of that, he shared some of his unique techniques, such as natural ways to keep pests away. I would spend hours helping him water the plants, prune the branches, and harvest the crops. This skill became particularly important for several reasons. First, gardening taught me patience and the value of hard work, as plants don't grow overnight; it's a slow and rewarding process. On a more personal level, gardening was a good way to be connected with nature and reduce stress. Even now, I have my small garden at home. Every time I tend to it, I feel a strong connection to my grandfather and the valuable life lessons he imparted to me.
