One social event that stands out less enjoyable with the charity gala I attended last year. The gala, although well intentioned, turned out to be quite underwhelming for several reasons. At first we were all excited about supporting the fundraising and the opportunity to connect with other pursuing the same meaningful goals. Hum. Um. Yet, the event seemed to let us down. Regarding to the organization, the gala was poorly organized from the start. We had been getting confusion for a lot time at the registration desk, with long lines and delays in check in as well as the venue itself crowded with to many tables crammed into the space and thereby led to the lack of freedom and convenience. On the other hand, you may become surprised at me about the atmosphere, which was overly laden with AFF. Fluent donors and court sponsors thus made the venue ostentatious and detached from the charities Grassroot Ebo. I meant I just a high school student, whereas the conversations revolved around business achievement. That’s why I must admit that I couldn’t truly engage for just a second. As, uh, someone who values sincerity and meaningful connection, I was utterly disappointed due to no altruistic spirit had come to my expectation. All in all, while I appreciate the initiative, thanks to such gatherings, this vividly terrible experience underscored the fundamental mission of a donating event. From that day, I have come to realize myself should consider carefully to gratuate any social event.
