A memorable day. Well, from my childhood, I remember the day when I went to the zoo for the first time. It had a profound impact in my overall life and how I view the world currently. You know, when you were an early child, the exposure that you get is significant at the later stages of your life. If you’re exposed to good environment, then your development will also be better. So when I went to the zoo, my mom and dad were there with me and they were pretty much supervising me so that I don’t go near the cages and there were different animals like lions and monkeys, gorillas, giraffes. There were different facts about different animals which were very much interesting. My mom and dad were telling me that the giraffe is the largest animal that there is and how their next develop or how the lion’s mane developed. All of the facts that were laid down to me created a general curiosity in my mind and one of my cousins were there as well and he was a bit older than me, around five to six years older than me as far as I remember. He told me about the evolution and how we developed from monkeys and it intrigued me so much that I studied evolution a lot in my child. Like these species have a different background than us but the way we think, the way we talk, everything now is different from theirs. So it was a very profound impactful moment for me. And another thing that I would like to say is that when I was there, there was a tour guide and he was telling us about the importance of preserving the biodiversity and how to reduce your carbon footprint because these species are currently now at the threat of extinction. So how can we protect these species? That was a really impactful moment for me because I had learned about my carbon footprint and how I can reduce them. He gave us a card and in that card there were even different options to reducing your carbon footprint.
