I have just graduated with a degree in history and with the emerging social trends I am pretty much sure that it is vital to have an understanding of AI technology. I believe that in the future AI will play an integral part of our life. AI would almost dominate the entire workforce and technology. So you have to have an understanding of how this technology works, how we can contain it. Additionally we have to also learn how not to become completely dependent on it. If we do we could possibly lose our creativity, our social connections, most importantly superiority that we exercise over other species. When you actually think about it it seems really scary as we humans are not the strongest or fastest or biggest in the planet. We are the smartest, we exercise our authority over other species. But now there is someone else who is smarter than us, who could be more creative than us. So we have to ensure that this someone will not exercise their authority over us. For that I believe it is vital for almost everyone to have an understanding of how this technology works. More importantly without AI literacy most people cannot even engage in the society in the future. That’s how important it is to learn AI technology. I believe in the future learning AI will almost be like learning a language which everyone must speak.
