When I first entered kindergarten at the age of five, I met a woman who was very kind to me, and it turned out she was my music teacher. My first interaction with her was really pleasing, but everything changed dramatically during our lesson when she started to play an instrument I had never seen before. It was my first interaction with a musical instrument, the piano. I think she really influenced me in a way that I began to envision myself as a musician, playing different musical instruments. I was so mesmerized by her playing that when I got home, I talked with my parents, saying I wanted to play a musical instrument called the piano. I saw my teacher playing it, and I wanted to do that too. They responded positively and said it was okay.
