Well, for me, the time when I had to adapt to a sudden change was when I came to the valley, the capital of my country, Kathmandu, to study for my further education. At that time, the change was that I had to live by myself without my parents in my relatives' home. I think the change was to adapt to the nature of my surroundings, which was kind of hard for me. It happened when I just came to Kathmandu, which was three years ago, and it took place in my maternal uncle's house. I had to live there with my grandparents, my maternal uncle, his daughter, and his wife. The thing that I needed to adapt to was the change in food. While living there, I had to eat chapati and vegetables, while at home, I was used to eating rice daily. Besides that, I had to eat a lot of junk food because there was no one to cook for me. So whenever I returned from college to my home, I had a really hard time eating whatever I liked because I needed to make it myself, and sometimes when I tried, I couldn't make it properly. The change was also about the religious values; I belong to Buddhism, and they belong to Hinduism. Their rituals made it hard for me to adapt, especially during my menstruation cycle. I had to wash my dishes in the washroom, which I found difficult to endure due to their beliefs on menstruation. I had to respect their restrictions as well. Besides that, I had to interact with a lot of people, and I had no personal space for myself because I needed to share my room with my brother-in-law. It was tough for me to adapt to all this, but however, I think this adaptation made me stronger, more confident, and more extroverted. I built my character because of these changes. So that's it.
