Once, I found myself in a situation where I unexpectedly helped a stranger while I was at the busiest train station about six months ago. It was around rush hour and the police were posted with commuters all rushing to catch their trains. I missed all the signals. I noticed a young woman standing there looking utterly lost and a bit anxious. She was staring at her phone and seemed to be struggling with directions, which immediately tugged at my heartstrings. So I decided to approach her and offer my help. I asked if she was trying to find a particular platform or train. She explained that she was new to the city and was trying to navigate her way to an important job interview. I quickly took a look at her phone to see the routes she was trying to follow and realized that she had missed a critical connection. I guided her to the right platform and even checked the train timings to ensure she wouldn't miss her train again. It felt really good to step in, especially knowing how stressful it can be before an interview. As a result of my help, she managed to catch her train just in time. The look of relief on her face was priceless, and she told me that she felt more confident heading to her interview after our chat. She thanked me profusely and mentioned that she would make sure to pay it forward one day, which really warmed my heart. It was nice to know that my small act could have such a positive impact on her day. After that experience, I felt incredibly fulfilled and happy. It made me realize the importance of kindness and how a small gesture can significantly affect someone's life. I also realized that helping people is what makes our world a better place to live in.
