If I have to talk about one instance when I was really proud of myself, it would be the time when I broke my leg in college. This happened in my third year when we had a festival celebration. It was a really big celebration of Onam at our college, and I was getting ready to attend the function. Unfortunately, my wet slippers caused me to slip on the stairs, and I broke my leg. I was immediately taken to the hospital, and my leg was bandaged. I was asked to stay in bed for almost a month, and it was really impossible for me to do any basic things without support. I came back home and was better, as I was advised to rest for a month, but I missed a full month of classes. My midterms were approaching, and I was really tense about that because so many things were going on in college, and I missed everything. I was worried about how I would catch up with my peers. That was weighing on my mind like a big burden, but once I got back to college after my medical leave, I tried to do my best and put in 100% into what I was doing. I tried to catch up on everything I missed during my absence and gave my best in my midterms. When the results were out, I was really proud of myself because I was able to accomplish something great with such limited time for preparation. It was a proud moment for me because I achieved something significant.
