So I've lived in Germany since I was 13 years old. Before that, I was born in Vietnam and grew up there. Moving to Germany was a rapid change. Speaking of cultural roles, even though we are all human at the end, Vietnamese culture and German culture are completely different. Germany is more westernized, of course, and they tend to do things differently compared to Vietnam. I had to make new friends, learn German, and integrate into the German system. I think it was a pretty big change for a young girl, like a 15-year-old. I had to make new friends and adapt to this new environment. I tried to learn the language as quickly as I could to make new friends, and they helped me a lot. I didn't have any Vietnamese friends in Germany, and I think that's also one of the reasons my German improved significantly. Because of my new German friends, I could learn a lot about German culture. I think it was quite a challenging experience. I don't think many people could do this. I'm thankful for my parents, as they helped me a lot throughout the journey. Without them, I don't know if I could have adapted as quickly as I have nowadays, and I'm pretty grateful for that.
