I'm about to tell you my experience when I decided to shift my focus. Since childhood, I had a dream of being an Indonesian writer. However, as I've been studying English intensively in 2022, I decided to change or pivot my career to be an English teacher or an English writer. At the beginning I felt uncomfortable because I faced difficulty in understanding specific phrases and also confidence, but then during my journey I took several courses including an English writing course. The experience helped me to gain more confidence to be able to use English only in both speaking and writing. And the reason why I decided to change my career or course is because I like to gain global audiences and also compete in the global market. Besides that, I have a dream of submitting my creative work to international websites and also have a book deal with a national publishing house.
