I would highly recommend going to Samarkand, which is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Uzbekistan. The city is steeped in history and known for its breathtaking architecture, located in the southeastern part of the country, about 300 km from Tashkent. Samarkand was a pivotal stop on the Silk Road, making it a melting pot of civilizations and cultures. One of the main attractions is Registan Square, which is surrounded by three impressive Islamic schools with stunning tilework. The Shah-i-Zinda is also worth visiting. It has many beautifully decorated tombs that showcase the amazing art of the Timurid period. Another highlight is the Bibi-Khanym Mosque, which is one of the largest mosques in the world and is still very impressive today. If you want to experience local life, visit the Cyber Bazar.
