As far as I know my country Uzbekistan is well known for its delicious meals and today I would like to talk about one of the most traditional foods in Uzbekistan pilaf. I first tried this dish when I was 6 years old. It’s a diet I would come home from kindergarten to find that my mom had already prepared it for me and I rule about it because its taste was simply a mouth-watering. It’s for the preparation pilaf mainly consists of 3 ingredients rice, carrot and meal but some people also add raisins and eggs to enhance the flavor. But I prefer simple pilaf and I always enjoy it with fresh tomatoes and cucumbers which I think makes the taste perfect. In our home my mom usually prepares it twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays but in this days it’s easy to buy it from street kitchen. Fortunately the price is reasonable about 25,000 Uzbekistan for per kilogram. I often meet up with my friend to eat pilaf at a renanato restaurant called Sarbon. Eating pilaf with him always gives me wonderful emotions. Additionally the thing that sets pilaf apart from other meals is its adaptability. I mean in Uzbekistan pilaf is the main dish for weddings but it’s also the go-to choice for birthday parties and other celebrations. I think that this versatile team makes pilaf one of the most popular foods in Uzbekistan. As a final point pilaf is not just a meal for me but it’s a special part of my culture and a dish I always enjoy.
