They were constantly sipping on energy drink, which was portrayed as the key to their endless fun and energy. I found this advertisement quite off putting for a couple of reasons. Firstly, it was incredibly misleading. They had, ah, implied that consuming this energy drink would lead to a carefree, glamorous lifestyle, which is simply not true. It created unrealistic expectations and preyed on people’insecurities. Secondly, the commercial featured a repetitive jingle with a high pitched song singing. The overly enthusiastic tone and constant repetition of the phrase made it impossible to ignore. It seemed like a, uh, desperate attempt to grab attention rather than promote the drinks actual benefits.
