I’m going to talk about reading books. What has been my habit since I was a little girl? I read books on a daily basis and it is a must-have item in my bag when I go somewhere as it can be a good activity to make good use of waiting time. My mom who helped me build this habit from a young age made me read comic books and when I get older, she introduced me to more serious books like Novel and Documentary. Now, I usually read on my own but sometimes I talk about books and share good ones with my mom. Sometimes when we have free time, we often spend time at the coffee shop and read books together. Reading is important to me because it helps me let my hair down and also improve my thinking skills. When I read books, I can learn new vocabulary, learn more about new culture and enhance my knowledge, which is helpful in both school and real life. When I read, I feel unwell and calm and which gives me a break and helps me recharge especially after a long stressful day. Reading also helps me develop better focus and patience because it requires me to sit still and concentrate for a long time. I think because people can learn a lot from reading books as books not only are straight, relieving but also enrich one’s soul and enhance one’s knowledge and learning is a process of a lifetime. For that reason, people of all age still read books. That’s why reading has always been an important part of my life and I believe it will continue to be something I truly enjoy in the future.
