Well, I've had many conversations with elderly people, but I'd like to talk about an interesting conversation I had with an old person. He's one of my neighbors, living right next to my door. His name is Tajinder Singh, a retired army officer, and he's very kind. The last time I met him was in May when I saw him carrying heavy grocery bags to his house. I offered to help him carry some of his bags, and as we walked to his house, we chatted about our neighborhood and its residents. He also asked me some questions about myself and my choices. When we reached his house, he offered me snacks and drinks, but I refused. Then, he started talking about the partition of Punjab in 1947, which is a topic that really interests me because my grandparents also suffered during that period. He shared that he faced many problems during that time, having been born in Pakistan but moving to Punjab during the partition. Unfortunately, he lost his parents during that period. As he spoke, he became emotional and started crying, but he managed to control his emotions. This conversation with him was truly fascinating.
