One occasion I helped someone was about two years ago when one of my classmates, Ali, needed help to prepare some slides for his thesis defense. He asked me how to make an appealing PowerPoint presentation to impress his supervisor and also other attendees at his thesis defense. At first, I tried to lend him some key elements for a strong presentation. I told him he should describe his object and methodology clearly. Then he had to show his findings, analyze them in detail, and also give some future plans for other studies while comparing them with other studies. After that, we watched several YouTube tutorial videos to enhance his skills in making a PowerPoint because I wanted to teach him how to catch fish and not just give him a fish. It's a Ukrainian proverb. Fortunately, he successfully presented his slides and received positive feedback from his supervisors and peers.
