It is quite easy to reconnect with someone who has been out of your life. I do have that kind of experience with my best friend, Lee. So today I'm going to talk about her. We were classmates during junior high school. One day we found out that we lived in the same area. After that, we decided to go to school together. At first, we rode different bicycles, but it was dangerous to ride side by side. So we decided to use one bicycle together instead. Day by day, through our conversations on the bike, we became best friends. We learned together, hung out together, and did everything together. Then we took a step back during the transition to high school. She suddenly registered for a boarding school in the urban area, while I chose the local one in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City. Her decision upset and disappointed me because she broke our promise to wear our jackets, a traditional Vietnamese uniform for girls. As you know, in boarding school, students usually cannot use cell phones or go out, except on special occasions like holidays or summer vacation. Because of the hectic schedule of entering university, we lost touch. Then, soon after our university entrance, about four years after our last conversation, we came across each other in a hair salon near our houses. We were both delighted. She explained to me the reason for her decision. We then began our friendship again. At that time, she was still as adorable as before, with her big, round eyes and a more mature appearance. It's embarrassing to say that I'm the type of person who has a big ego, so it's something special that we could be friends once again. We still keep in touch and share about our lives like we used to.
