I would like to talk about an elderly person whom I greatly admire, and that is my friend's grandfather, Mr. Abdul Kaurim. He lives in Rasway with his family and is one of the most interesting people I have ever met. I first met him about a year ago when I visited my friend's house for a group study session. At that time, he was sitting on the veranda and reading the newspaper on his tablet. I was quite surprised because many elderly people are not comfortable with modern technology, but he seemed to be using it effortlessly. Mr. Kaurim is in his late 70s, yet he remains remarkably fit and active. He follows a disciplined lifestyle and never misses his daily morning walk. What makes his life particularly interesting is the variety of experiences he has had. He worked as a senior government officer for more than 30 years and traveled to different parts of Bangladesh for his job. Throughout his career, he was involved in several important development projects related to rural education and community welfare. When I talk to him, he shares fascinating stories about his life, his career, and the challenges he faced during different periods of Bangladesh's development. He has a wealth of knowledge about history, politics, culture, and current affairs. What I admire most about him is his positive attitude towards life, as he remains curious, open-minded, and optimistic.
