I really remember that two years ago when I visited my grandmother’s place during a family gathering, that time I got an opportunity to try a South Indian traditional dish named dosa. But my grandmother prepared the dish with a twist. The twist was that she used the sweet potato for filling instead of using an usual potato. Initially, I was quite hesitant to try the dish, but after eating, I was licking my fingers as my grandmother firstly encouraged me to try the dish because she has made it for us with all of her love for us. The unique flavor and texture of the dosa was a fascinating experience. The sweetness of the sweet potato added a crispy as well as a unique flavor to the dish. The crispy and crunchy texture and the soft interior was a fascinating experience. The flavor and texture were a perfect blend of sweet, spicy and salty as well. I have never tasted the dish like that and that was a very unusual experience. And after that whenever I visited my grandmother’s place, I really liked to eat that sweet potato dosa. That time I also realized that how we can improve our cooking skills by putting one step out of our kitchen boxes and use different ingredients to make the same recipe and explore different food.
