My family has always been an integral part of my life. I have a very big family. There are 12 people in our home, which are my mom, my dad. I have five brothers and four sisters. I am the last daughter of my family. My mom is a trader. She sells food goods in one of our big markets in Nigeria, I believe, where my dad works as a police officer. He has a busy working schedule, so he isn’t always present as me with us. My four brothers are married and now live with their spouse at their various homes, where my youngest brother is schooling at Ebon State University, together with myself. My four sisters are married and now have a happy family with their husband. Currently, I am living with my parents and my younger brother. My family is a very close family. We have this family tradition, where my parents cook especially, where my mom cooks especially me for everyone on the weekend, because my dad is less likely to be away at the job at that time. Our household can come around the dinner table and serve something that we don’t get to enjoy everything. I think the importance of having a family can’t be stressed enough. I struggle to imagine what my life will be like without my loved ones.
