My favorite place in Almaty is Medeu, which is a famous high-altitude ice rink located just outside the city center. It is situated up in the mountains, about a 20-minute drive from the city. The place looks absolutely amazing. It is surrounded by high mountains and tall green trees. In the winter, everything is covered in white snow, and the fresh air there is really clear and cold. When I go there in the winter, I usually rent skates and spend a few hours ice skating with my friends. In the summer, I like to walk around the area, climb the famous wooden stairs and head up to the nearby mountain trails for a quiet hike. I love Medeu because it is the best place to escape the busy city life. It is peaceful, beautiful, and always helps me relax and feel energized after a long week.
