Band 7+: Did you like singing when you were a child?

Your pronunciation is very good. Aim to refine subtleties and intonation to further improve.

The answer directly addresses the question and provides a clear, positive response with relevant elaboration. The student shares specific details about their childhood singing experience, including playing a guitar and imitating favorite artists, which adds depth and authenticity. The response is natural and well-developed, though it could be slightly more concise to avoid repetition (e.g., 'I even remember' is used twice). Overall, it effectively demonstrates a willingness to elaborate while staying on topic.

The answer is generally fluent and coherent, with a clear structure and logical progression. However, there is some repetition ('I even remember' used twice) and a slight lack of conciseness. To improve, try to vary sentence openings and reduce redundancy. For a higher score, aim for more seamless transitions and avoid minor hesitations.

Good use of vocabulary such as 'passionate about', 'imitate the melodies', and 'bright memories'. However, the phrase 'I can assure that I really have bright memories' could be more precise (e.g., 'I have vivid memories'). To reach a higher band, incorporate a wider range of idiomatic expressions and less common vocabulary naturally.

The grammar is mostly accurate with a mix of tenses (past simple, past continuous, 'used to'). There is a minor issue: 'I used to sing... while playing... trying' could be restructured for clarity (e.g., 'I would sing... while playing... and try'). For a higher score, use more complex structures like conditionals or relative clauses without errors.
