Band 6+: Do you like chocolate ?

Your pronunciation is above average. However, you may find complexity in certain words challenging. Regular practice should aid in improvement.

The answer directly addresses the question and provides relevant details, including specific types of chocolate and a personal connection from childhood. However, the response is relatively brief and could be enhanced with more elaboration, such as explaining why you like these types, how often you consume them, or any associated memories. Expanding on these points would make the answer more natural and fully developed.

The answer is coherent and easy to follow, with a clear structure: a direct positive response, specific preferences, and a brief reason. There is no repetition or self-correction. To reach a higher band, you could expand slightly with a cohesive device (e.g., 'Moreover, I enjoy it as a treat after meals') and ensure a smoother flow by avoiding the slight redundancy in 'especially I like' (which is more of a grammar issue). Overall, it is fluent and well-organized for a short answer.

You use appropriate vocabulary for the topic, such as 'dairy milk' and 'dark chocolate,' which shows some precision. The phrase 'prefer chocolate since my childhood' is acceptable but could be more natural with 'have preferred' (as in the refined version). To improve, you could use a wider range of descriptive words (e.g., 'creamy,' 'rich,' 'indulgent') and more varied expressions (e.g., 'I have a sweet tooth for...'). The current vocabulary is adequate but not highly flexible or precise.

There are a few grammatical inaccuracies: 'especially I like' should be 'especially I like' is acceptable but less natural than 'especially dairy milk' (as in refined). More importantly, 'I prefer chocolate since my childhood' uses the present simple with 'since,' which is incorrect; it should be 'I have preferred chocolate since childhood' (present perfect). The sentence 'it's very sweet' is fine but could be more specific. You demonstrate a range of structures (simple and compound), but accuracy is inconsistent. To improve, focus on using present perfect for ongoing states and avoid word order issues.
