It depends on the situation. If there is important news in my local area, I definitely want to stay up to date to learn about what's happening around me. For example, if there is a tornado in my town, I want to know about it because I have to take precautions. On the other hand, international news is very important because it keeps me updated about what's happening in the world, which gives me an idea about the future of Earth.
