I do believe that parents have a big role in teaching their kids how to cooperate with others and how to be helpful. First, parents can be role models to demonstrate generosity by helping other people. The children can observe this directly and immediately apply it in their daily actions. Second, it must involve respecting friends. Instead of keeping things to themselves, kids can cooperate by asking their parents if it's okay for their friends to borrow something, even if it's just for one minute. This shows respect and encourages communication before sharing.
