I don't think so. These days, technology has completely changed the way people learn and teach because now there are telegram channels and useful, available apps for teaching and learning. In the past, people used only textbooks or learned from teachers. They didn't have any available resources. Nowadays, there are a lot more native speakers than in the past, and you can easily find them.
