I don't think so, because there is a huge difference between these two generations. The younger generation tends to make online purchases, and they are really easygoing. They want to spend their time in shopping malls and engage in luxurious activities, like splurging on commodities that are not really necessary. On the other hand, the elderly in the past used to save their money and make necessary purchases. They tend to buy things from street markets rather than online shopping because the majority of them are not really comfortable with online platforms.
