Band 7+: How can schools support diverse learning needs?

Your pronunciation is quite good. Working on consistency and tackling difficult sounds may enhance clarity.

The answer stays on topic and directly addresses the question about how schools can support diverse learning needs. It provides a general perspective, mentioning different learning styles and the use of varied teaching methods, which is appropriate for Part 3. However, the response could be more fully developed by elaborating on specific strategies (e.g., differentiated instruction, assistive technology, individualized education plans) and by discussing broader systemic or policy-level approaches. Expanding on the 'extra support' idea with concrete examples would enhance the depth and completeness of the answer.

The answer is coherent and logically organized, with a clear introduction, example, and conclusion. There is no repetition or self-correction. However, the response is relatively short and could benefit from more development or a wider range of cohesive devices to fully demonstrate fluency at a higher band.

The vocabulary is appropriate and precise for the topic, with terms like 'diverse learning needs,' 'visual materials,' 'practical activities,' and 'equal opportunities.' However, there is limited range and flexibility; the answer could be enhanced with more sophisticated or varied vocabulary to achieve a higher score.

The grammar is largely accurate, with correct use of complex structures such as 'by recognizing that...' and 'while others learn...'. There are minor errors in the raw answer ('speaks' instead of 'paces', 'an equal opportunities' instead of 'equal opportunities', 'to success' instead of 'to succeed'), which are corrected in the refined version. The range of structures is adequate but not extensive.
