I think most people in my country rely on suggestions from friends and family. They usually take their opinions and ask them if they should get this specific desk, for example, for the office, or should they get a better one, like a different style or other advantages and disadvantages of each one. Mainly, I can say that they rely on the personal experience of others. Other people might look online, browse products on different websites, and use the compare feature included in some websites to compare the different specifications for each style. For example, I might compare two sofas and decide which one I want based on the comfort, style, and available colors.
