I think the the enhancement and the number of people relying on technology increases, it will have negative impacts on on face-to-face communication skills. For one reason, it will hinder people using facial expressions or the difference of voice tones. When technology has more reliance, people will ignore those factors, which will lead to a decrease in phase 2 communication skills. Because only texts will be transferred to each other online, but phase 2 communication involves other things like their facial emotions and the tone of their words. and people will lose the ability to catch those little subtle differences.
