Some decades ago, I think Japanese people's eating habits were quite simple but healthy. Traditional Japanese food contains a wide variety of fish and vegetables, but due to modern lifestyles and globalization, the situation has changed dramatically. For example, people, especially younger generations, prefer Western-style breakfasts such as coffee and bread or corn flakes. Our staple is rice, but I heard that its consumption has decreased significantly.
