And my reasons are, growing up, children should be aware about the traditions and cultures of wherever they are. Cultures are basically the way of life of the people and this entails what they eat, how they dress, the respect for elders and what not. This is a very important thing for children to be taught, especially at an early age. This will enable them to acquaint themselves with the various cultures of the environment. Furthermore, not teaching them what their culture entails might have a negative impact on how they cope in their environment, which would result in possibly not knowing what they are meant to do at a certain period of time or not being sure of how to tackle various situations. So I believe in conclusion, it is very important for them to be taught and for them to be aware of what is expected of them, what is society expects of them at every given time.
