It's true that readers turn to newspapers to gain knowledge and they want to read about up-to-date news. For example, a newspaper without current, up-to-date news, or that uses fake news, cannot survive in the publishing world and will gradually disappear. Some newspapers target not only the elderly but also youngsters, so they have many features to appeal to a wide audience.
