Well, with the development of technology and science, in the past, people didn't have smartphones, so they usually communicated with each other face to face or just called others on the telephone. But these days, with the existence of chat apps such as WeChat and others like Viber or Bitly, many people communicate with each other on the Internet. I think in the future, it is a main trend that everyone will communicate on social media instead of in person.
