I think there is a little bit of difference between boys and girls. The boys seem to like active and aggressive sports like basketball, soccer, American football, and baseball. They like to move a lot, and their bodies are generally stronger compared to girls. On the other hand, girls like to play indoor sports like chess or table tennis. They prefer to use their brains. So for me, as a result, I can say that boys like active sports, while girls like brain-using sports.
