My hometown is located in the southern part of Thailand. It's about 9 hours by driving from the capital city, which is Bangkok. You can also visit by plane, but it takes about 1.5 hours from Bangkok. I would say that my hometown, Phuket City, is not a big city, but it's a really important city in Thailand because the average number of visitors in a year is about 3 million people.
