In my perspective, some people enjoy the effect of adrenaline in dangerous or extreme situations. The body realizes that this gives a strong energy and a special feeling of excitement. For example, jumping from a height, fast rides, very scary but also entertaining. Another reason why some like them is curiosity and their obsession with novelty, because they naturally want to explore new things. Then, sure, things increase curiosity because they are forbidden or unusual. Overall, people love risky things. It is all about adrenaline, curiosity, and pleasure. However, it is important to stay safe and not to overdo it.
