As a child, I wasn't very interested in fashion because there wasn't anyone around me who was interested in it. I was also more passionate about something else, which is art. I always wanted to be an artist, so this is why I was interested in this subject rather than fashion.

Pronunciation

8
Your pronunciation is very good. Aim to refine subtleties and intonation to further improve.

Task Response

7
This is a good response that directly answers the question. Consider expanding on your artistic interests to further illustrate why fashion held less appeal. Adding a specific example of your artistic pursuits would enrich the response.

Fluency & Coherence

8
The answer is coherent and well-structured. The pacing is good. Minor improvements could be made by slightly smoothing out the phrasing in the first sentence. Instead of 'there weren't anyone around me who is interested in it,' consider 'no one around me was interested in it.'

Lexical Resource

7
The vocabulary is adequate and appropriate for the topic. More sophisticated vocabulary could be used to enhance the response. For example, instead of 'passionate about,' consider 'enthralled by' or 'captivated by.'

Grammatical Range & Accuracy

8
Grammar is mostly accurate. The only error is the subject-verb agreement in the first sentence ('weren't anyone'). The sentence structure is varied and appropriate for the task. The use of relative clauses ('which is art') demonstrates good grammatical range.
