Actually, competition is like a double-aid sword. On the one hand, it could bring some benefits to our life, such as developing some kind of intellectual abilities, because in competition, people should possess more sense of problem-solving and critical thinking to be a winner. And it is a kind of personal development if they engage a healthy competition. On the other hand, engaging in competition which is not really healthy would exert negative effects on the mental health of the individuals, because they would feel a feeling of inadequacy and stress and anxiety which is really devastating for their mental health, or maybe they ignore their humanity and do some fraud in their competition.
