There are quite a number of advantages tourism brings to touristy areas. Tourism helps boost the economy of the area by opening up opportunities for the local population to open businesses, such as souvenir shops or hotels, and it also creates more job opportunities in the area. As I said, hotels or businesses need a workforce to operate them, so it could be a great opportunity to increase the number of jobs in the area. Also, I think tourist areas are more maintained by the government compared to other areas, so tourist areas are cleaner.
