Band 4+: What are some potential drawbacks of relying heavily on social media for news and information?

Your pronunciation is above average. However, you may find complexity in certain words challenging. Regular practice should aid in improvement.

The answer stays on topic but is underdeveloped. It mentions that social media can contain untrue news and have negative effects, but it lacks specific examples, elaboration, and a general perspective. To improve, provide a more detailed discussion of drawbacks such as misinformation, echo chambers, and lack of credibility, and consider the broader societal impact.

The answer is somewhat coherent but lacks clear organization and development. There is noticeable repetition and self-correction (e.g., 'not try news' corrected to 'not real news' in refined). The response is brief and does not fully address the question with multiple points. To improve, structure the answer with clear points and use cohesive devices to link ideas.

Vocabulary is limited and imprecise. Phrases like 'bad feels on people' are awkward and unclear. The refined version improves to 'bad effects on people,' but the range of vocabulary is still narrow. To achieve a higher score, use more precise and varied vocabulary (e.g., 'misinformation,' 'credibility,' 'influence public opinion').

There are several grammatical errors and awkward structures. For example, 'Usually as a social media is true news' is ungrammatical; the refined version corrects it to 'Usually social media has true news.' The sentence structure is simple and repetitive. To improve, practice using a variety of complex structures and ensure subject-verb agreement and correct word order.
