While social media definitely has both pros and cons, starting with the positive side of social media, I think one of the primary benefits is its ability to keep people connected even if they are physically far away or separated. For example, many people nowadays utilize social media as their major means of communication, and they use it to share their daily lives with friends and family members. So that's one thing. However, on the downside, social media also entails a variety of shortcomings, one of which is addiction. Some governments have actually introduced laws or measures to limit social media usage by teenagers and younger children, and that's because it's very addictive. They really want children to spend time outside instead of staring at or scrolling through social media on their phones.
