I personally believe that e-books are just much more convenient to read because you need only one tablet or smartphone. If you have it, you usually bring it along with you anytime. Paper books are less convenient, but people may prefer them because they can touch them, smell them, and feel them, and that's something that affects them. That's how they assess the quality of the book, for example, and it may affect their experience of reading.
