There are many implications, I believe, of genetic engineering, both pros and cons. Well, first of all, we're not entirely sure of the long-term effects of manipulating the genetics of a human, and we've been doing it for decades in animals, mice, monkeys, and so on, and dogs. Individual genomes and epigenetics and molecular genetics have helped enormously in the evolution of medicine and so on. In therapy, just general discoveries in human sciences have been crucial to understanding how we work, how animals work, as a species, as a planet, and how we work. And the beginning to understand the actual biology, we can then go on to say, yeah, breakthroughs are becoming more and more solid and more and more exciting. Science fiction is becoming reality and enhanced intelligence, movement, memory, treatment of diseases, incurable diseases, for example.
