What are the positive and negative impacts of social media on society? I think one of the positive impacts of social media in the society is that it allows you to connect with people. It’s like an instant connection to people and bridging gaps for your families, friends that are away from you. And also, in addition to that, I can say that it also gives you information which you need to be aware of, because it gives you access to news and educational resources. While this positive impact plays a big role to each and every individual of us, I think a negative impact also of social media on the society today is that it causes mental health issues, spread of misinformation and addiction to the use of social media, because we tend to abuse the use of social media in our daily living, that it affects our responsibility as human beings.
