Indeed, cooking is my favorite hobby. That's why I love to cook from time to time during my leisure time. When I have the chance to do so, I do it without any hesitation. So, my favorite dish or the best dish that I cook is chicken alfredo pasta. I cook it perfectly and I love every detail that I add to my pasta plate to make it perfect and delicious, such as fancy restaurants. So I start off by boiling the pasta and for the sauce basically I add some flour, milk and just some pepper and salt so simplicity could be the main factor for deliciousness.

Pronunciation

Your pronunciation is quite good. Working on consistency and tackling difficult sounds may enhance clarity.

Task Response

The answer is on-topic and directly addresses the question about the best dish to cook. It provides a clear response (chicken alfredo pasta) and elaborates with details about the cooking process, which demonstrates a natural and developed answer. To achieve a higher score, consider structuring the response more concisely, avoiding repetitive phrases like 'I love' and 'I cook it perfectly,' and perhaps adding a brief reason why this dish is your best or a personal anecdote to make it more engaging.

Fluency & Coherence

The answer is generally coherent and easy to follow, with a clear structure: introduction, main dish, and preparation steps. However, there are some issues with cohesion and flow. The phrase 'such as fancy restaurants' is awkwardly placed and disrupts the logical progression. Additionally, the answer ends abruptly without a concluding thought. To improve, use more cohesive devices (e.g., 'firstly', 'then', 'finally') and ensure each idea connects smoothly to the next. Avoid unnecessary repetition like 'from time to time' and 'through my leisure time'.

Lexical Resource

The vocabulary is adequate for the topic, with some good expressions like 'without any hesitation' and 'simplicity could be the main factor'. However, there is limited range and precision. The phrase 'such as fancy restaurants' is unclear and not well-integrated. Also, 'delicious' is used repeatedly, and the final word 'delicious' is incomplete (likely 'deliciousness'). To improve, use more varied and precise vocabulary (e.g., 'signature dish', 'creamy sauce', 'seasoned to perfection') and avoid vague or misplaced phrases.

Grammatical Range & Accuracy

The grammar is mostly accurate, with correct use of present simple and some complex structures (e.g., 'When I have the chance to do so'). However, there are a few errors: 'through my leisure time' should be 'during my leisure time', and the final sentence is incomplete ('so simplicity could be the main factor for delicious' should be 'for deliciousness'). The sentence 'such as fancy restaurants' is a fragment and not grammatically connected. To improve, ensure all sentences are complete and check prepositions and word forms.

How much free time do you usually have each week?

Well, I think that I spent around 15 to 18 hours always studying, not including the time spent on assignments or projects. It sounds like a lot, but I think it is manageable and necessary, especially when exams are approaching.

Do you have any animals in your home as pets?

No, I don’t have any pets at the moment. To be honest, I am busy as a bee, so I simply don’t have the time to care for an animal. That said, my kids have been logging for a kit and they promised to look after it themselves. So perhaps we’ll welcome a few line […]
