Band 7+: What is your favorite thing to do in your free time?

Your pronunciation is quite good. Working on consistency and tackling difficult sounds may enhance clarity.

The answer is highly effective as it directly addresses the question while providing a structured and well-developed response. By categorizing the hobbies into 'physical' and 'logical,' the speaker demonstrates a high level of organization and fluency. The inclusion of reasons for enjoying these activities - such as stress relief and mental stimulation - adds depth to the response. To maintain this level, continue using such organizational frameworks to expand on your ideas naturally.

You demonstrated a good ability to organize your thoughts by categorizing your answer into 'physical' and 'logical' activities. This structure makes your response easy to follow. However, there was some repetition in the raw transcript ('under under', 'I'm I'm') which slightly affects the flow. To reach a higher band, try to use more varied cohesive devices instead of repeating 'when it comes to' twice. For example, you could use 'On the other hand' or 'In terms of mental stimulation' for the second category.

You used some good collocations and phrases such as 'passionate about', 'under pressure', and 'available'. The categorization of hobbies as 'physical and logical' is a sophisticated way to approach the question. To improve, try to use more precise synonyms for 'logical' (e.g., 'intellectual' or 'cognitive') and 'love' (e.g., 'I am keen on' or 'I find ... immensely rewarding') to avoid repetition and show a wider range of vocabulary.

Your grammar is generally accurate, and you successfully used complex sentence structures (e.g., using 'because' to provide reasons). The sentence 'it helps me to relax' is correct, though 'it helps me relax' is often more natural. To move toward a Band 8 or 9, try incorporating more varied structures such as conditional sentences (e.g., 'If I had more free time, I would...') or perfect tenses (e.g., 'I have been playing chess for many years').
