From my personal observations, I believe there are two main types of places older people prefer to live. First, many gravitate towards rural areas to escape the hustle and bustle of cities. They find these peaceful places serene and tranquil, offering a respite from the noise, pollution, and traffic congestion of urban life. They value the quiet and slower pace of life in these settings. However, I've also witnessed many elderly people who dream of living in big cities. They want to be close to the latest trends, cultural events, and amenities that urban areas offer. They appreciate the convenience and excitement of city life, even if it comes with some drawbacks.
